Real Borders with instructor Lucinda Larson
Drips are for those who don’t know how to pipe a REAL Border!!!
Border’s seal our cakes to the board or plate, keep them from drying out and slipping. They cover rough edges and give your cake a finished completed look. Borders can also add to the overall theme or look of the cake.
Let’s learn how to pipe REAL Borders to seal your creations securely to the cake board adding beauty and character to your cakes. We will aim to do at least 6 different borders.
Student should bring the following to class : Student needs an iced 8-inch round or square cake on a 12” round or square covered cake board, 2 to 3 cups of buttercream icing you like to work with, piping/decorating bags, Tips: star, plain round, rose, whatever you have, a spatula or 2, turntable, wash cloth, apron, pen for notes, a box to take home about 10” board.
There are a maximum of 12 students in this 1.50 hour class
